Position Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Application Portfolio Management. The successful applicant will serve as a liaison between the business units and IT department, defining and documenting business needs and overseeing the selection and implementation of software programs and hardware resources. We are looking for someone to fill this position who is collaborative, detail-oriented, and flexible with respect to final system design. You will also be responsible for ensuring business needs are met, and that SPS maximizes the use and value of our systems. Key capabilities include:

  • Work with stakeholders to understand and summarize business requirements to be able to communicate the requirements effectively to project team(s) and potential vendors.
  • Ability to perform application software upgrades.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC).
  • Understanding of Project Management software.
  • Proficient in researching solutions to increase work efficiency.
  • Creating requirement documents such as Business Requirement Document (BRD), use-cases, user stories, or any other artifacts needed for projects.
  • Acting as a liaison between the business and Information Technology department
  • Ability to support project teams during the analysis, planning, and implementation stages of software development.
  • Demonstrate excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Have a history of leading and supporting successful projects.

Position Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience in a similar role and who has attained a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related experience. Having experience using the following software/tools is a bonus:

  • Experience with Change Management programs.
  • Microsoft Project, Office, SharePoint, Teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and related server software.
