Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our growing team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will assist with monitoring, testing, and inspecting materials, processes, and final products to ensure they meet all specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine quality control inspections on construction projects, including materials, workmanship, and finished products.
  • Monitor construction processes to ensure adherence to project specifications, plans, and relevant safety standards.
  • Conduct on-site material tests (e.g., concrete, soil, asphalt, etc.) and ensure that materials meet required quality and safety standards.
  • Identify and report non-conformities or discrepancies in construction processes and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance records.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections and tests performed, as well as any corrective actions taken.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met and issues are addressed promptly.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and practices.
  • Assist with conducting audits and inspections during different stages of construction (e.g., pre-construction, during construction, and final inspections).

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction quality control or a similar role (entry-level candidates will be considered).
  • Knowledge of construction materials, processes, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with relevant construction codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for preparing reports and coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and industry-specific software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift and move materials and perform physical tasks as required on job sites.

Working Conditions:

  • Work on-site at construction project locations.
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project scope.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and be comfortable with construction site environments.
