Scheduled and emergency substructure repairs at various locations in District 2.
Key Challenges Overcome:
One work order under this Contract included critical repairs to a railroad arch tunnel in Greenfield at Route 2A. SPS worked with MassDOT and multiple consultants to design the tunnel liner system and conduct the installation. The scope included a 3D-laser scan survey of the tunnel, fabrication of the tunnel liner and shelf support steel, installation of the shelf support and tunnel liner system, and the installation of grout throughout the length of the tunnel liner system.
