District 4: Substructure

Project Overview:

• Repair work performed under this contract has consisted of bridge pier & abutment concrete repairs, emergency shoring tower installation, and elastomeric painting.
• Most of the work to date has been spent repairing deteriorated bridge substructures along the I-495 corridor and extending their service lives.

Interesting Facts / Figures

• Over 250 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete have been placed to date.
