SPS New England is currently performing the following scopes of work along a 1-1/2 mile stretch of Route 28 between 3rd Street in Cambridge and Broadway Street in Somerville:
- Bridge Deck, Scupper & Joint Repairs on Two Bridges over the MBTA Green Line & Keolis Commuter Rail
- Reconstruction of Deteriorated Bridge Barrier
- Curbing & Sidewalk Replacement to Provide A.D.A Compliance
- Replacement of Pedestrian Handrail on Highland Avenue Bridge
- Traffic Signal Modifications at 5 Intersections Along Route 28
- Resurfacing of Bridges and Roadways Along Entire Project Limits
- Pavement Markings Along Entire Project Limits (Addition of Bike Lane)
