Resurfacing & Related Work Along I-93

Project Overview:

This project includes bridge and highway maintenance as well as highway resurfacing along a 2.5 mile stretch of one of the most heavily-travelled sections of I-93 in Boston and Milton. Bridge maintenance work includes concrete parapet/bridge deck repairs, bridge membrane replacement and joint replacement on three bridges. Highway work includes guardrail repairs, drainage maintenance/repairs and full-width milling & paving of I-93, including the HOV lane.

Key Challenges Overcome:

Coordination with multiple other projects on the expressway, HOV operations, limited work window at night, heavily trafficked highway.
