Seabrook-Hampton Project Update: February 2026
The Seabrook-Hampton project team has continued substructure construction through the winter, with work focused on the precast pier footing elements. All precast pier footings have been lowered into position and are currently in a dewatered condition. Crews will begin installing the permanent reinforcing steel and concrete for each pier footing, followed by construction of the column and the pier cap. Structural bridge steel erection is planned to begin for late winter/ early spring, followed by the concrete bridge deck construction.
Crews have also began constructing a temporary access trestle on the eastern side of the existing bridge. This temporary trestle will be utilized for the future demolition of the existing bridge.
