I-495 Haverhill: Southbound Steel Beams Complete

Press Release, June 26, 2021: Contractor SPS New England has completed placing steel beams across the Merrimack River in Haverhill that is expected to carry southbound Interstate 495 traffic by this fall.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation confirms the milestone crossing and plans daytime lane closings this week for work related to the $102 million twin bridge replacement project.

Lechmere Viaduct Rehabilitation Project – MBTA Green Line $62M Light Rail Viaduct Rehabilitation

SPS was selected by the MBTA to complete the rehabilitation and replacement of track on the Lechmere Viaduct, an historic, 110 year old concrete arched structure. This project will provide a critical linkage to the stations being constructed as part of the Green Line Extension (GLX).
